Roses are Red, Babies are Yellow

Happy 1st day of Spring, it couldn't have come soon enough!

So we have had an interesting and stressful couple of days since we came home with Miss. Olivia. She had a case of jaundice and we were up and down the road getting her levels checked at the pediatrician. Today we found out that everything is going down and she's A-Ok!

We celebrated with a little photo shoot - I can't believe she's almost a week old already!!!

Rich and Zachary took advantage of the nice weather and hit the trail for a bike ride. Someone was exhausted from watching Daddy pedal and took a little snooze.

This is the first time Zachary has held his sister. He LOVED it and it melted my heart!

Olivia also tried out a paci for the first time. She definitely liked it and I prefer this over sucking on her arms and fingers!
Here is a little video of Z jumping on the railroad tracks during his outing with Daddy. I think we have a possible long jumper in the family!

Cold Weather Stinks

So does this flower...

I refused to sit at home today and stare at 4 walls while the wind was blowing and the temperature hung out around 60 degrees. We went to Story time this morning (no pictures included) and the park this afternoon just to have some outside fun. We did end up having fun, even though we were FREEZING!

He loves to swing now. Last year he HATED it.

This slide is very scary for me. The steps are so high but he loves it.

We went on a little nature walk. How cute is this jacket? Another borrowed item from Dylan.

Mother's Day Weekend Extravaganza!

What a busy, fun and beautiful weekend!

Saturday we packed up and went to Cecil County to celebrate Mother's Day and my Mom's birthday (the 13th) with steamed crabs. We had a great time eating, relaxing, eating, playing and eating!

One of the highlights of the weekend was getting this fantastic kitchen set for Zachary. My dad gave it to Collin as a gift a few years ago and he has since outgrown it and passed it down!

He also got this cool grill and cooked me a wonderful Mother's Day meal on it.

Mother's Day took a turn around 3pm when Zachary started running a fever and feeling miserable. He's cutting 4 teeth right now and I suspect he has another ear infection :( This is what we ended up doing for about an hour.
sadly the only time rich thinks to snap pics of the 2 of us is when Z looks pathetic

As sad as he looked I was happy to get to have some snuggle time with him for a little while. My poor baby.

Just Another Wacky Wednesday

Today I tried to pull out as many ideas as I could to keep us busy on yet another RAINY day. Blah!

First we did some painting.
Z had more fun painting himself than the actual paper.

Apparently licking the paint is a fun activity

Here is his art work

Then we broke out the PlayDoh. I had a little more fun than he did...

Mommy with her favorite drink!

Rich and his Miller Chill

My picture taking skills are very poor - I totally missed his masterpiece.

Christmas cookie cutters can be used all year long!

Camden with his bug-eyes and large bones

Then the sun came out! We RAAAAAAAAAANNNN outside, jumped in the wagon* and took a nice long walk around the neighborhood - woooo exercise!
Folks, have you seen the latest wagons? These things are out of control! There are 4 cup holders (2 for kids, 2 for adults), storage compartments and a cooler area under one of the seats. Oh and not to mention the CANOPY!!! I can't wait to take this thing to an amusement park or the zoo!

I stopped to get a picture and he was non too pleased.

Even the blue dog had a cozy seat for the ride

Back at home (another view of the awesomeness of the wagon)
* The wagon is Z's early birthday present from his Grandmom and Grandpop. He's one lucky kid!

Rain Gonna Make Ya Go CRAZZZYYY

Is it still raining? Really? That tease last week has me really really upset with Mother Nature now. I called her very nasty words this morning when I had to get up at 7ish with the boy and it was dreary, cloudy and WET. Anyway, whatever.

Yesterday I taught Z how to play Ring Around the Rosie and boy did he have a blast! I don't know where we'll have our fun once we have furniture to fill our empty rooms!

He loved the "we all fall down" part the best

I love a HAPPY face :)

I'm gonna get yaaaaaa

Oh Mom, it's so humiliating having my picture taken WITH you!

Fun In the Sun - "Catch-up" Version

Ok, I have been yelled at. I am soooooooo sorry people who stalk my blog. Sooooooo sorry that I haven't posted 9 mazillion pics of my little man being cute and sweet and cuddly. Well, honestly... he HASN'T been cute and sweet and cuddly (aside from the bath pics) so I refused to capture his tantrums. Yes, I punish my child by not blinding him with the flash or forcing him to say CHEEESE. I know, call social services NOW!

This week = BEST.WEEKEND.EVER. Hello 90 degree April weather. Hello fun in the sun. Hello easily entertained outdoor kid. Hello Hello Hello!

Here ya go stalkers, enjoy.

New Sand & Water table - prior to mass destruction

Oh yes, sand is excellent

Um, when I was little I was forced to sit on the ground. What a lucky guy to have his very own personal picnic table!

Rain, Rain, Go AWAY

Rain, Rain Go Away
I've been stuck in a collapsable bus all damn day *

Rain, Rain Go Away
My constipated dog has poop fly out of his butt when we try to play **

Rain, Rain, Go Away
Little Zachary has been cranky all day

Rain, Rain, Go Away
I'm 10 seconds away from burying myself under all this hay***

* It's true. I was forced to sit in that thing for 2.5 hours this morning and be "driven" around the living room. Clearly from the circles under my eyes I should get more sleep before such long bus rides.

** Ok, I can't make this up. DumDum refuses to poop in the rain so when I was playing catch with him today (whilst in the bus) he jumped in the air to catch the ball and PLOP a turd came out. Zachary pointed and screamed "ewwww" I just screamed "put the pedal to the medal kid, let's get ouf of here!"

*** I really did consider it for a minute. Locking myself in the mudroom, sticking my head in the dryer and slamming the door on my brain 10 times just wasn't cutting it this morning.

Just to show my child isn't part devil (this is more of a reminder for me) here is a cute pic of my crazy driver from this morning.

No constipated dogs allowed on this bus... ewwwwwwwwww
