We got Olivia an Anywhere Chair for her birthday. Of course I couldn't wait to give it to her, so she got to try it out right away!

StoryPlay
This is Zachary's 3rd session of 'StoryPlay.' I can't explain enough how absolutely amazing this program is. Basically, the teacher, Ms. Keri, picks a story. Then within the pages she has activities that coincide with the book. It's so clever, creative and absolutely fun. She incorporates colors, counting, fine and gross motor skills and exercise into 1 book! Z just loves going and he has made some great friends in the class.
Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of the whole class, but I got the end where they were having fun with the parachute. Zachary used to refuse to participate whenever the parachute came out... You can see that is no longer the case.
I am praying that I can fit StoryPlay into our schedule this Fall for Olivia - it's just WONDERFUL.

11 Month Valentine
I'm a little low on pictures for this post but GAH, SERIOUSLY? 11 months? It just doesn't seem possible - at all. I swear Z's first year lasted a lot longer than Olivia's. Anyway, before I get all blubbery (I have to save that for next month), we'll just discuss the fun stuff.
So, Olivia is walking!!! Yeah, like officially. She still does her share of crawling but more often than not we'll look over and she's toddling along. It's so weird! I mean, I knew it was coming and all but she just looks too little to walk. GAH!
We are REALLY trying to remember to get the girl a sippy cup as often as we can. Z was off of bottles and drinking exclusively from a sippy cup by 11 months. We've just forgotten? Anyway, she'll get there.
She had some sips of whole milk tonight at dinner and giggled. I don't know what it is with this kid and giggling when she tries something new! So we assume she liked it! We'll try to transition to milk along with the sippies in the new few weeks - maybe. I just don't have any motivation to make my girl grow up. Who cares if she drinks from a bottle until she's 45? I'm sure Suri Cruise will still be doing it so it will be socially acceptable and probably even the trend. I'm just making my girl trendy, that's all!!!!
Anyway, she's awesome. Sleeping great, loving her brother more and more each day. She actually walks to him more than anything. She has her arms stretched out and tackles him with a huge hug. It's enough to melt you into a million little blobs.
She also yells at the dog during meals. "OUUUUUUUT" - I have no clue where she learned that from the past 11 months... hmmmm
So it's party planning time... that is all I will say about that. *sigh*

Running for a Cure
I'm sure most of you are all aware by now that I am running a full marathon in a couple of months. The marathon itself, along with the weekly training, is going to be a battle. However, my battle is minor compared to those that are suffering with blood cancers.
I have teamed up with an amazing organization, Team in Training, who is partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to raise money for research to find a cure for these terrible diseases.
My grandfather, Raymond Martin, lost his battle with Lymphoma back in 1997. He was one of the strongest men I have ever known and I am honoring him during my training journey.
Over the course of the next 18 weeks I will be dedicating my time running many many miles and hopefully raising many many dollars. This is a cause I truly believe in and I plan to give everything that I have for it.
If everyone could take a moment to pass my fundraising page on to family and friends, or everyone in your contact listing, I would greatly appreciate it. It's amazing how many people's lives have been affected by blood cancer. If there is anyone else out there that I can reach out to, and honor, I would love to do so.
