Launch of my new recipe blog

The old blog didn't evolve into much so Carmen and I decided to do a new one. I hope it is useful to anyone looking for something yummy to make!

Also, if you make something that you would like to pass along, please do! We'll fix it and it might just make it to the blog!

Tumble Bus Birthday

Yesterday was my cousin Jadyn's 2nd birthday party. The Tumble Bus came and all of the kids had a blast. It was such a beautiful February day too and the kids got to play outside for a little while. Zachary had so much fun playing with the other kids all day. Rich and I were amazed at how grown up he is now, he didn't cling to us at all and just went off and played.

Sitting with all the kids waiting for some cake!

White Trash Fireman

We've reached a REALLY weird stage. Yesterday Z came up to me with his pants down around his ankles, the front of his diaper pulled down and his "ahem" flapping in the wind, and a big fat grin on his face. What could I do but laugh?

Tonight after bathtime he decided he HAD to wear the Firefighters boots that he hated just a couple of months ago. So this is how he came downstairs...

Then we got his jammies on and he insisted the boots go back on overtop of his pj's. (Don't worry, we have a spare set of eyeballs somewhere around here)

Here you get a nice view of the chop job I did when I attempted to *trim* his hair. Oy, I'm not allowed near him with scissors anymore. My instated rule.

CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE

My child has turned into a world class goof ball. I try to take pictures of his cute smile and this is what I get...

This is the sweet smile I'm looking for

Then he gives me one of these .... the resemblence is uncanny!

Here I think he's just making fun of me

hahahaha

Big FAT Cheeseeeeeeeeee
Here is a little video...he seriously cracks me up!

Lily's Baptism

Sunday my neice, Lily, was Baptised. It was such a nice and small ceremony, unlike Z's where there were 6 other babies! Afterwards we all went back to Tammy and Rob's to have yummy lasagna and the most delicious cake EVER.
Getting Baptised

The happy parents with their little bundle

She's still such a peanut but getting a little personality!

Mmm cake

With her Great Grandpop Ewing (she needs a little head support)
On a side note: Lily is almost 3 months old and just a little bit bigger than Z was when he was born! What is that about? haha

My Funny Valentine

I don't think there will ever be a girl out there that is good enough for this little man... (in my eyes of course)
Happy Valentines Day Everyone :)

Fuzzy Feet

Zachary found my sock drawer and has fallen in love with my "muppet socks." He carrys them around all of the time trying to put them on and tonight he succeeded. I laughed my butt off watching him walk around with these things on.

Look at this!!! Silly silly boy!

Hellloooooooooo Warm Weather

Just when I was days away from becoming a bald person from ripping out my hair and moments away from being admitted to a padded room from the disease of STIR CRAZY, the sun came out. I mean... Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun...he was HERE! Oh sweet warmth we got outside, to play!

Look at this handsome little police man!

"Hey baby, wanna ride?" (No, not you Mom!)

Over and Out

On another call, all work and no play

Then we went for a little walk to see the horses. Z was less than impressed.

Back at home we practiced smiling in a toy bucket. This is named "Sweet Smile"

Here we have the "Cheese Smile"

and the ever infamous "Chandler."

Could I love this little boy anymore? At 19 months old his personality has formed into one of the best I have known in my life! He cracks me up, really. I find myself rolling on the floor laughing with him on a daily basis. Tonight he tooted in the tub and made me laugh so hard that I snorted. That turned into him forcing himself to toot, which lead to him pooping in the tub! Nasty! Oh but we still laughed. He is amazing and I am blessed to have him in my life daily... toots and all!

We're Amish!

Ok, not really. We haven't 100% been initiated into the Amish community yet but we have traded in the CRV for horse and buggy. I named the horse Stan and just this morning he pooped on Carrie's front lawn when we returned her shovel. Bad Stan!

Ok, so I'm tired. We were nonstop moving in Thursday night thru Friday night and then Saturday we had a revolving door of people coming to help us move in, only for them to find out we were DONE! Lucky dogs!!! So instead we did what we all do best, we drank.

The rest of the weekend is a blur of snot and boys hacking up lungs. Yes, boys, plural.

Zachary is STILL under the weather and Rich has come down with a sinus eating, lung suffocating disease that is keeping me up most of the night. Well, him as well I guess. I took Z to the pedi today and he has an ear infection (AGAIN!) and RSV. I'm doing a lot of throwing my hands up to the sky lately and shaking my fists vigorously.

I will kindly thank the sick train to depart and not come back for a long long time. Thanks! Chooo Chooo

Did I mention I'm tired? I'm taking Stan out to the stable and checking on the fields and heading to bed... until next time us Plain Folk, Jakob, Jedediah and I are signing off.
