Apple Pickers

Today, Lianne and I took the kids to the local orchard to pick apples. I was a little skeptical about how two toddlers would handle picking apples, or even if they would be interested. Thankfully they were both pretty into it!

Zachary really had fun picking them off of the trees. He wanted to reach the highest ones at the tip top and kept stretching his arms as much as he could! He was also our box carrier until it got too heavy for him to lift.

Both kids enjoyed throwing the apples into the box (we have some nice dented apples now). Overall, super fun day. We are planning on going back in a week or so when some of the other varieties of apples are ready!

Falling into Fall

As the days go on it's feeling more and more like Fall and we couldn't be more excited! This morning I told Zachary we needed to do a little "Fall Cleaning" and he got right down to business.

First, he ran downstairs to find his vacuum. Then he came upstairs, went straight for my sock drawer and put these purple fuzzy socks on his hands. I generally don't clean with socks on my hands so I don't know where he got this idea. Whatever works for him though!

you can do it - put your back into it

Later I decided (or maybe the baby decided) that I really wanted some caramel apples. Zachary and I went to THREE different stores looking for the fixin's. Apparently we are ready for Fall but the rest of Shrewsbury isn't.

Finally, a lovely a lady in Giant assisted me by going into the back and finding apple sticks. Then she pointed me in the direction of the caramel. I really must be losing it because I felt like a lost puppy in there today. Maybe it had something to do with the 2 year old climbing in and out of the cart screaming "MOMMY WATCH DIS!" while I envisioned a trip to the ER.

Alas, caramel apples were made!

The Return of Bubble Boy

I swear Zachary is most happy in a nice warm bubble bath. He cracks me up sticking bubbles all over his face to make beards and hats. He's just plain silly! I am most happy when he is in there because he's contained to one area and he's getting CLEAN!

Bump Watch - Week 13

It has been 4 weeks since I last humiliated myself on the interwebs, I guess it is time. Right now I'm in the game of "Is she fat or is she pregnant?," it's delightful! I will say I don't think I've "grown" too much in the past month.
My weight has stayed the same so at least that's saying something!

If you'd like to compare from week 9- follow this link
I don't have a comparison picture from my Zachary belly because I didn't take pictures the way I was supposed to. Whoops! There will be one next time though :)
My next appointment is October 2nd - stay tuned!

Happy Birthday to You!!!!!!!

Today is Rich's 33rd birthday!!!!!!! Zachary and I had a busy day preparing for him to come home to all of our surprises.

We made him a picture frame to take to work, got him some new Raven's gear and made a super yummy dinner of buffalo chicken sandwiches and homemade french fries! Best of all was the spice cake filled with raspberries and cream cheese icing we made (from scratch...patting myself on the back).

Happy Birthday Babe ~ and many more! I love you :)

Let's Go Ravens!

Yesterday we had a 1st Raven's game celebration/Rich's birthday party extravaganza! I totally dropped the ball on taking pictures of the event but I did get some great shots of the back of kids heads! Wooooooot...

He refuses to look at me

muahahahaha she doesn't have a choice yet!

Love this shot! Hope in her jersey with adoring parents in the background.

Family photo-op :)

That picture of Chris, Cristin and Katelynn reminded me of our first family photo in our Raven's gear. Zachary was a little over 2 months old... and pretty pissed!

Baby News

Today I had an appointment for an NT Scan The baby looks perfect according to the tech. (doctor read results won't be in for awhile) He/She was measuring 5 days early, which isn't too shocking since we tend to make long babies!

Otherwise, everything looked great. The baby had it's hand by it's mouth a lot (thumb sucker?) and did a little showing off for us. We only got this one not so great picture but we are hoping to get the rest on a cd from Rich's former co-worker at Mercy.

Oh, the HB was 170ish which is way higher than Zachary's ever was...

My next regular appt is October 2nd and then we go back October 28th for the big u/s to make sure everything is still going well with the baby, possibly some gender results too!

Sunny Days

Today was Zachary's first day of Pre-school!!! He is going to a school called Sunny Days a couple of miles away. The morning started out a little hairy and we weren't sure how he was going to handle being in a classroom with a bunch of strangers, especially after this display of attitude:

Once he worked that issue out he decided which book bag he wanted to wear...

Then we headed off to school!

When we got there he strutted down the hallway like he owned the place. A few of the teachers were in the hallway cracking up at how sure of himself he was. Of course the minute he realized he was the one they were laughing at he hid himself behind my legs.
His teacher, Ms. Dee made homemade play-doh and he really enjoyed playing with that for awhile.

His cousin Jadyn is in his class, they are pretty much inseparable.

They had some free time to play with anything they wanted, of course Zachary went for the big green tractor.

As a special treat Daddy was off today so he was able to go with us to school! He helped paint Zachary's hands for his art folder since Z was a little unsure of sitting so close to Miss. Dee.

After all of the kids made their art folders it was time for snack. Surprise, surprise, look who's sitting together??

After snack they did another group activity of singing and playing in the cool school bus. Hey, it's Zachary and Jadyn together, AGAIN!

Then it was time to leave. Zachary proudly showed off his school bag in front of the welcome sign out front.
All in all it was a great day. Zachary did pretty well following directions and playing with the other children. Now I just have to get him acclimated enough so that I can leave him there alone!
