A Little of This and That

Here is a brief summary of what we've been up to - brought to you in pictures no less!

Events are in no particular order:

1) Zachary got himself stuck between the wall and the couch. He pleaded for me to "pwease pull him out" but I chose to take a picture instead.

2) We made progress on the nursery this weekend. Paint - check. Valances hung - check. Furniture in place - check(minus the big dresser). Big heap of things to be washed thrown in the crib - check.

3) Zachary took a bath. It was cute, he smells good.

4) The Ravens lost - badly. The kids slept - soundly.

Next up, crown molding, blinds, decorations, furniture delivery, more painting, shopping, washing, oh and the list goes on.

Just Another Wacky Wednesday

Today I tried to pull out as many ideas as I could to keep us busy on yet another RAINY day. Blah!

First we did some painting.
Z had more fun painting himself than the actual paper.

Apparently licking the paint is a fun activity

Here is his art work

Then we broke out the PlayDoh. I had a little more fun than he did...
Zachary

Mommy with her favorite drink!

Rich and his Miller Chill

My picture taking skills are very poor - I totally missed his masterpiece.

Christmas cookie cutters can be used all year long!

Camden with his bug-eyes and large bones

Then the sun came out! We RAAAAAAAAAANNNN outside, jumped in the wagon* and took a nice long walk around the neighborhood - woooo exercise!
Folks, have you seen the latest wagons? These things are out of control! There are 4 cup holders (2 for kids, 2 for adults), storage compartments and a cooler area under one of the seats. Oh and not to mention the CANOPY!!! I can't wait to take this thing to an amusement park or the zoo!

I stopped to get a picture and he was non too pleased.

Even the blue dog had a cozy seat for the ride

Back at home (another view of the awesomeness of the wagon)
* The wagon is Z's early birthday present from his Grandmom and Grandpop. He's one lucky kid!

A Whole Bunch of Polyester Filling

Do you remember the story of Blankie Bear ?I think this is "new" BB - shhh don't tell Z that "original" BB is getting a bath

Soon after the BB obsession started Zachary became fond of a stuffed dog we had in his room (it went with the puppy theme). The stuffed dog is named Spunky and we love him. He's soft, he's cuddly and oh so cute. Not to mention Zachary makes the cutest little barking noise when he's playing with him...

Spunky - the incredible bendy dog

Then came another obsession with a smaller dog that rattles. He has no name but apparently he has a tasty nose because Zachary sucks on it frequently.

Rattle Dog McTasty Nose

You would think 3 "friends" would be enough, but no. This little blue dog, also named Spunky (the Baby Gund people need to be a little more creative) has now joined Team Lovey. I have to admit, he's the least favorite out of the bunch for me. He's easily lost, also rattles, and frankly, I don't understand the whole "blue" thing. I've never seen a blue dog, have you?

Blue Spunky

This brings me to my point... below you will see a whole lot of "friends" that must be accounted for at nap time, bedtime and pretty much 99% of the day. That's a lot of responsibility for one person to have, especially when my main focus should be keeping Zachary from coloring on the walls, pulling on the dogs tail, and flushing things down the toilet.

The "friends"
I was thinking of slowly "hiding" some of the friends, namely McTasty Nose and Blue Spunky but then things like this happen...

Who can take away friends from a face like this?

His loyalty will always be with his blankie bear though...

thank God too because we don't have duplicates for the rest of them!

April Snow Showers and a 100th bloggity blog

First, I must say that mother nature needs to quit the menopausal state she is in and cut the crap. Seriously, snow in April???? UNACCEPTABLE! Doesn't she know I have a kid that is itching to go outside and blow bubbles and play in the street???

Second, this is my 100th blog. I never thought when I started this that I'd actually keep up with it AND like it. Well I do, I'm addicted actually, so deal with it, like it, read it.

Third, back to the main topic. Since today was insanely cold for April and I already packed away all winter gear, I brought spring indoors. We had a fun egg hunt with the worlds most annoying Easter eggs...let's discuss...

I thought these "talking" eggs would totally kick major toddler butt. I mean, what's better than an egg that says "hey kid, I'm hiding here!!!" ?? It's perfect, I hide them and they do all of the work of helping him find them. NO. Totally untrue. These eggs only "talk" if you whack the crap out of them and the "talking" is this obnoxious "let me out, let me out" nails on a chalkboard voice. About 2 minutes in I wanted to throw them away and forget I ever bought them.

So anyway, Zachary was totally afraid of them at first and I started to have my own meltdown because FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY WERE EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!! Stupid plastic Satan eggs.

Let's back up a minute though. First I made the worlds most amazing PB&J sandwich that also served as ultra mega hair gel...

Best.cheese.face.ever.

Then there was a 3 hour nap but that's boring so we'll move on.

Once he woke up from his nap I thought it would be smart to jump right in to the egg hunt with the Satan eggs. No wonder he HATED them, I didn't even offer him a cup of coffee to get him up and running!

Yo Mom, I'm totally not awake and why is this egg yelling at me?

Ok, Ok, it's in the basket - PLEASE SHUT IT UP

Warming up a bit (I sure wish I changed his PB&J shirt for the occasion)

This is not a face of pleasantry.

Moving right along...
Since we missed Art yesterday I figured I should do a little project with him here. Get the creative juices flowing if you will.
He really is getting the whole painting thing now.

Alright, I lied. He totally wants to eat the paint. Dayum.

Mark my words, this will be worth something in the future.

For some reason an adult hand bunny just doesn't have the same effect as the toddler...

Bunnies hopping in the grass...it's true!

Tag!

Carrie tagged me on her blog and I am supposed to post 6 random and/or quirky things about me and then tag 6 more people.

So here goes:

1. I hate the word "hankerin." It just sounds so nasty.

2. I get in the shower where the shower head is coming out instead of the backside, apparently that's the "wrong end."

3. I wet my toothbrush AFTER putting on the toothpaste.

4. I say "have a catch" instead of "play catch."

5. If I don't know the name for something I call it a "who-gee-whats-it" and a lot of people actually know what I'm talking about.

6. I pick my cuticles and don't realize I am doing it until Rich tells me to stop picking. (I have gotten better with this one though)

So now I'm supposed to tag 6 more people so I tag Sarah, Cristin, Carmen, Amanda, Lynn and Meghan(Sarah's friend). And if you don't have a blog, you can just email me your random facts. =)

Here are the rules:Post the rules on your blog Write 6 random things about yourself Tag 6 other people at the end of your post
