A Gingerbread Man House

I am so excited that this year I was able to start a new tradition with Zachary. I decided he is the perfect age to make a gingerbread house with. I had to make the foundation by myself but he had a blast decorating (and eating). He also insisted that it was not simply a 'Gingerbread House' but a "Gingerbread MAN House." This kid cracks me up.

We are really getting into the holiday spirit in this house!

So it's not going to win any awards or anything but we think it's pretty special :)

Handprint Captured!

It only took me 22 months but I finally did a cast of Zachary's hand. This was a super fun and easy project! I think it turned out pretty darn cute too.

I hung it in the breakfast nook off of the kitchen for all to see!

Thursday to Saturday - A Recap

Aunt Randi is on Spring Break and came to visit us. Boy is Zachary having a blast with her!

Thursday we had some pretty nice weather so we got outside to play in the yard. A. Randi was helping Zachary to play some tee ball...

Then on Friday Rich was actually off of work!!! We had a fun day dyeing Easter eggs and just relaxing around the house.

Zachary LOVED picking the colors and putting the eggs in the bowls. I was really impressed with how well he did for his first time.

Then on Saturday we took off to Cecil County to Nana and Pop Mikes house!! We got to eat STEAMED CRABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh what a treat! I can't remember the last time I've had crabs in April.

This is what was left of the very full bushel. Mmmmm

Collin getting down to business with a crab.

The boys has a blast playing in Z's police car.
What a fun couple of days!

Art Class Clown

I enrolled Zachary in Gymboree Art in an attempt to make him more "worldly" (is that even a word?) Boy was that a stretch.

A) He would much rather be out hanging from the beams on the gym equipment in the adjoining room than painting and constructing beautiful pieces of art.

B) art is MESSY!

Well who gives a flying french toast? We pay a lot of money for this class so you're going to PAINT PAINT PAINT, CONSTRUCT CONSTRUCT CONSTRUCT and do it with a smile DAMMIT! Or, well, do a half assed job and let your mommy do the rest.

Here people, this is my paint brush. See, I'm not wasting my parents money. Blah!

This is so lame. I hate Art. I wonder if this one swipe of paint will be sufficient for my controlling mother who wants me to overachieve.

Ok, that's it. Two swipes with the brush, I am now messy, unhappy and wearing this gay smock. Thanks a lot Mom. I will punish you with nose rings and dreadlocks in 10 or so years.
