Baby Wanted - Room Complete

In case some of you hadn't noticed... my ticker jumped up a week totally skipping week 27. Why? Well my due date has been changed to March 18th! Since Miss Olivia has been consistently measuring a week ahead they took a week away from me...eek!

Anyway, we have been putting the finishing touches on her room over the past week or so and tonight we can officially say that it's DONE! The princess still has a good bit of baking to do but it feels great to be ready for her. I am especially fond of the fact that since my body seems to be telling me to sit down, I can indeed, sit down!

P.S. Please excuse the "yellow" tint the room has. That's what happens when you refuse to use your flash and your exposure comes from artificial lighting. (nerd alert)

Can't wait for March!

Merry Christmases

Wowweee what a busy couple of days we have had! Once again we were totally spoiled by everyone this Christmas and had such a wonderful time spending the holiday with our families.

As we do each year we kicked off Christmas at my mom's on Christmas Eve. She made an amazingly delicious dinner and went way overboard on gifts (again!). I think the theme of the night was "next year there will be 5 kids running around." Just 3 little ones filled with anticipation and excitement made for a very loud but awesome evening.

After spending the day at home we headed down to Baltimore for an amazing Christmas dinner at Chris and Cristin's house. All in all this was one of our favorite Christmas.' Zachary really got into opening his gifts and seeing the excitement on his face was priceless!
Next up... New Years!

From the Mouths of 2 Yr Olds - Part 4

1) One afternoon after getting home I let Camden out and Z followed. I checked on both of them a minute later and found Z with his pants down around his ankles. I walked out and said "What are you doing?" and he replied "I want to poop outside like Dum-Dum!"

2) Z fell down and hurt his butt while he was playing. He got up, pulled down his pants and said "Mommy, kiss my butt."

3) Zachary: "Mommy, yook Dum Dum pooped on the porch!"
Me: "I know, it's ok."
Zachary: "He was just nerbous, that's all."

4) Me: "Zachary, what is Santa going to bring you for Christmas?"
Z: "A train"
Me: "What is he going to bring Mommy?"
Z: (looking around the kitchen he spots the painting of wine bottles) "Dat"
Me: "Santa is bringing me wine for Christmas?"
Z: "Yeah, a weally weally BIGGGGGGGG ONE."

Blizzardy Weekend

I have an overload of pictures from this very snowy and busy weekend!

Friday we made sugar cookies. Unfortunately I made dough for "melt in your mouth" sugar cookies and not "cutter" cookies (who knew there was a difference?) so we couldn't do fun cut-outs but we had fun anyway.

Saturday we woke up to more snow than we had expected and Zachary yelling "I SEE IT! I SEE THE 'NO DADDY!!!" He was so excited about it. The boys ventured out around 11 to try sledding on the hill next door but it was just too steep and the wind blowing made it really hard for Zachary to walk around. Plus the fact that the snow was up to his knees at this point!

Sunday was much nicer to go out and play. The sun was nice and bright so it wasn't too terribly cold and there were some paths so Z would walk around a bit easier.

does this not remind you of A Christmas Story?

what's better than a tub of Utz Party Mix to warm you up?

Later Sunday afternoon the Badour kids came over while their Mommy & Daddy went to the Raven's game.

Now it's Monday and we are back to business as usual. Climbing (and getting stuck) inside of trash cans...

Holiday Fun

Zachary and I have had such a busy, fun-filled, holiday week! He has become so interested in helping with cooking that I decided this year would be perfect to do some baking with him. We spent all morning Wednesday in our jammies making a huge mess of the kitchen and eating tons of junk food (at 10am), it was a blast! We also blew up our 2nd hand mixer in a month so we had to take a little trip to the store to get a replacement (I'm in love!).

so excited to bake in Christmas pjs!

While waiting for our cookies to bake we did a little winter craft. Zachary has become a great little artist!

Today we went to a Christmas party put together by the local Mom's Group I have joined. I wasn't able to get too many pictures because 30 kids running around is a little hairy! Z did stop running for a few minutes to decorate a polar bear sugar cookie.
his polar bear is pink :0)

Tomorrow we are going to tackle the sugar cookies and hopefully get chocolate chip cookies done over the weekend, so stay tuned for more pictures of our holiday fun!
