Walk-thru day

So we had our official walk-thru this afternoon. Holy hell they have been working hard! On Sunday there were so many little odds and ends that needed to be done that we thought we would walk into a very messy house today; it was actually the total opposite. The place looks AMAZONG (in the words of Sarah).

All of our appliances are in, they are putting a fence on top of the retaining wall that we didn't know about, and the BEST.THING.EVER. is the kitchen cabinet that pulls out and holds our trash cans. Yes, it's true... a trash can cabinet. EEk!

We didn't take pictures so you'll just have to wait and see, or come and visit!

Settlement is less than 48 hours away!!!!!! Woooooooooooooo

Please stop the ride

I want to get OFF!

After being told that settlement would be postponed 2 weeks, 1 week, a couple of days we got word today that it will only be pushed back ONE DAY! So we will officially be home owners again on Thursday of NEXT WEEK! Holy fish paste, NEXT WEEK!

I'm so giddy right now. I guess this means that we need to order our washer and dryer and buy those blinds that we've been procrastinating on doing. Whoops! So it's going to be a busy weekend of packing and shopping and YAYYYYYYY we're moving in to our new home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other news, Zachary has earned a VIP membership at Maryland Pediatric Group. Seriously, I can't keep this kid healthy. He only has a cold but he sounds just awful! I took him in on Monday and Dr. Hottie (that's my pet name for him) said that he was all clear and it was just viral. Fast forward to today, he still sounded the same and, wellllll, it's Friday so no doctor for 2 whole days so I figured I better take him in and get him checked out. Dr. Hottie said he's still OK and to just keep going with the preventative measures, ie. tylenol, motrin, vicks, humidifier. So that's that, no meds for Snotty McDrippy Nose.

Did I mention we move in 6 days? SIX DAYS PEOPLE!

We got a face lift!

Yes ladies and gentlemen this is still the same house. The builders had some issues with our siding color so they decided to give us a brick front!! Rich and I couldn't be more thrilled with this change. We said if we had the option we would have wanted some brick on our house, and voila, we got it!

In other news, settlement has been postponed. We are not sure of the new date but we are hoping it's no more than an extra week. The driveway was poured today and it looks like the only thing left for the house is to finish the front porch. We're getting REALLY anxious and excited!

Chuck E. Cheese Day

Today Z and I met April and Aiden at Chuck E. Cheese in Annapolis for a play date. We had such a great time! I haven't been to C.E.C. since I was a little girl and totally forgot how fun the atmosphere is. They had a Toddler Zone where kids Z's age could play games and ride rides. Z was a little apprehensive at first but once he warmed up he had a great time!
Waiting for the pizza to come
Too bad he wouldn't look at the camera!

Snow Day

With the little bit of snow that we got yesterday we decided to let Zachary have a little bit of fun playing. He absolutely loved it and wanted to keep throwing snow balls. He refused to wear gloves so we didn't let him play for too long. I can't wait until we get a big snow and we can make a snow man with him! (Please Snow Gods wait until we move before sending us a blizzard)

The stats are in!

My little boy is getting so big! We just had his 18 month check-up this morning and here's how he is doing...

He is 35 1/2 inches tall. He only grew 1 inch in 3 months which was shocking to me!

He is 25lbs 14oz which is a 2lb gain in 3 months.

Overall he is perfect in every little way and doing exactly what he should be doing for his age. He is amazing us more and more each and every day. Here are some things he can do/say.

He can point to all of his body parts (minus the eyes and nose) when we ask him to.

He can say so many words, the newest being "poop!" when he has either pooped or watched one of the dogs go. (ew) He LOVES to brush his teeth and requests to do it all day long. He calls for the dogs "Rayyy Rayyy" for Raven and "Dum Dum" for Camden (very appropriate!) He takes off his shoes, socks and pants when requested to do so.

So those are all of the good things... my little angel isn't perfect though...

He has started throwing major tantrums when he doesn't get his way. He hits EVERYTHING and he screams and thrashes about when I try to put his coat on and get him in the car to go somewhere.  He's a real peach!

Z still only has 7 teeth but he's working on his molars and when they come in the world will be a happier place!

I'm such a hooker!

A latch hooker that is :) I have been working on a rug for the past 2 weeks for Z's big boy room. I got the idea from the awesome blanket Sarah made for Z. We are going to do his room in primary bold colors. I'll miss the puppies but I think he's really going to love this!
Here he is checking it out. The blanke is on the right. How cool are they??

I have to give major props to Rich for cutting all of the string for me and not complaining one bit about it :) Thanks dear!
