5 Months

Miss Olivia turned 5 months old yesterday!!! I can't believe she's only one month away from being half a year old. *gasp*

Our little girl is changing daily. She is rolling all over the place, sitting up nice and tall and just loves reaching and pulling for anything she can grab.

She is doing great eating solids. She's had rice, oatmeal, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots and peas. Her favorites so far are oatmeal and sweet potatoes.

She's definitely a little goof ball already. She blows raspberries all of the time, pops her paci out of her mouth and gives a big squeal of excitement when we're trying to get her down for a nap.

I can definitely tell that she's eager to play with all of the big kids too. She adores Zachary and constantly reaches for him when he's near by.

Oh and Olivia got to wear her first ever Raven's gear on Thursday!!! (It's a hand me down from Z but she doesn't mind)

Look Who's 1

I can't believe it's been a year since Miss Katelynn was born! I'd like to say that I can't remember where the time has gone but I have a few reminders. Namely 9 months of pregnancy and the birth of my own little princess!

I had the honor of taking family pictures of the Chisolm Family - Baltimore District and Katelynn's 1 year pictures. I am pretty pleased with how they all turned out!

Happy Birthday Katelynn! We've enjoyed watching you grow from an itty bitty baby to a sweet little toddler.

Pink Princess(es)

Yesterday I set-up to take the last of Katelynn's 1 year pictures (that blog to follow after her party on Saturday). I just LOVED the bubble gum pink "backdrop" I chose and had to get pictures of Olivia with it.

I really can't handle the cuteness!

Zachary wanted to get in on the fun. I tell ya if I had a "manly" backdrop he would have no interest in participating!

Short Lived Soccer

***Warning*** The pictures below are deceiving. What you see is a child appearing to have fun. What you don't see is a child whining, throwing fits and refusing to participate.

I signed Z up for soccer camp. It's an hour a day for 1 week. Yesterday was his first day and he participated for maybe 5 minutes of the hour. Today, he participated for 2 minutes. The rest of the time he was hanging on me, the stroller, whining, complaining and just being a total crank a lank.

When I told him we'd just leave if he didn't want to participate he threw a bigger fit. Needless to say, we won't be going back a 3rd time. Sorry, not all stories have happy endings.

So here he is on the first day:

Sadly he will miss getting a t-shirt, trophy and group picture on Friday but apparently organized sports are not his thang. We'll try again in the Fall.

Blue and Pink

The pictures below are the reason I am so thankful that Olivia is a girl. Not because I wouldn't have loved another boy. No, another boy would have been equally amazing. The reason is, when I'm 80 and looking through pictures of my kids I wouldn't have the slightest clue who I was looking at. Thank God for blue and pink clothes because my children couldn't look more similar if they tried.

These were all taken when Z was 4-5 months.

Get In Mah Belly!

Olivia has been pretty hungry lately. The other day I caught her trying to eat herself alive!!!

Here she is munching on some fingers.

Then she tried out her whole fist.

Then she dined on some piggies!

For fear that I would lose my baby to self mutilation I decided to let her try some rice cereal tonight. Her first solids, oh my!!

"you want me to eat what??"

"well alright, i'll give it a try"

"the spoon looks pretty fun!"

"mmmmmm"

"they tricked me, that was terrible! bring me a bowl of toes, stat!"

"growing up isn't all that fun afterall"

P.S. The blog nazi's took away my pretty background. I will work on making it lovely again. For now, enjoy this very green scenery.

Comments Section

Hey, is this thing on?!

As much as I LOVE blogging and sharing what is going on with our family, I would also LOVE to know that people are actually reading!

Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think of certain blogs, stories, pictures, or just tell me what color underwear you're wearing that day! Anything to show me that my blogs aren't being sent out into cyberspace and never being read!

Come on, I dare ya!
