Carni Kids

Friday evening we took Zachary to his first carnival with The Badour's. He had a great time riding rides with Natalie, eating ice cream and playing games. The weather wasn't that great so we didn't stay too long but it was still a really fun time!

Hands on House - Part Deux

On Thursday Zachary and I met my friend Sara and her daughter Emma in Lancaster to revisit the Hands on House. He had a blast when we visited last time so I thought it would be nice to take him on a weekday. The place was pretty empty and the kids were able to take their time with each activity which was nice.

I think the most fun was when we went to a local diner that had a great outdoor play area and some random animals!

Before going inside we played in the outdoor garden with mini-houses, mazes and all sorts of veggies and plants growing.

I didn't realize they had bees on the other side of the board so I made Z a flower...oops!

After playing outside we went in to the museum to play.

There is a lovely dress-up area that Zachary DESPISED. He was miserable as we dressed him in all sorts of random things...

Cousins & Best Friends

I snapped this picture yesterday at the library. The kids were supposed to be coloring on the sidewalk with sidewalk chalk but they decided to play in the grass instead.

These 2 gorgeous girls are Jadyn (left) and Maddie (right). They are my 2nd cousins - Z's 3rd, but more importantly they are his BEST friends. We have play dates with them a few times a week and when we aren't with them he is asking about them. We're so lucky to have friends and family up here to hang out with!

June Showers bring August Babies

Today I attended Cristin's SUPER cute frog-themed baby shower in honor of baby Katelynn who will be making her appearance in FIVE WEEKS (or sooner). I had a great time capturing the day and the glow of the mom-to-be. She has one of the cutest bellies I have ever seen too!

Look at this perfect little basketball belly!!!

TWOty Fruity

Here is a glimpse of what it is like to live with a 2 year old. (This all happened in a 10 minute time frame)

First the 2 year old SCREAMS, BEGS, PLEADS for a snack. The loving, wonderful, patient mother obliged by making him a deliciously fresh fruit salad.

Here the 2 year old proudly displays the fruit salad (i.e. LOVE) that his mother made for him.

Next, the 2 year old sets the bowl on the floor with a very wide smirk on his face. The mother smiles back with pride. She thinks to herself, "Ahhh he loves me and my fruit salad!"
Suddenly the 2 yr old STOMPS on the bowl of fruit salad sending it flying around the room. Pieces of "love" sticking to the ceiling and walls. The blueberries are nowhere to be seen (those suckers can get some air)

The 2 yr old glues himself to a corner of the room admiring his work. The mother is not pleased.
The 2 yr old is put into time-out, where it appears he is using this time for relaxation instead of thinking about the consequences of his actions.

After time-out (aka his cat nap) the 2 yr old lands himself the job of cleaning up his mess. It appears it's a jolly good time. The mother feels defeated, again.
The mother seeks revenge and sentences the 2 yr old. She demanded "You will clean this house from top to bottom young man!" Ah ha, the 2 yr old is the one who seems to be defeated this time!

The 2 yr old was last seen washing blinds with a floor mop. He surely has a long way to go.
The End.
